Freeze free winter for Hargreaves…………… with Saniflo Posted on Jun 10, 2011

Established in 1968, James Hargreaves (Plumbers Merchants) Ltd have expanded across Lancashire and Yorkshire supplying top quality plumbing, heating and bathroom products in their 25 plumbing depots and four showrooms.

When it came to buying a condensing pump for their in-house boiler at the Clitheroe Depot, they chose a Sanicondens Plus from Saniflo. The unit was fitted to a condensing boiler which supplies the hot water and central heating needs of the building. The condensate is pumped vertically 2m into the ceiling void above and horizontally 5m to the side of the building where it then drains into the internal soil stack.

Saniflo produce the Sanicondens Best which is an acid neutralising pump specifically designed for the disposal of acidic condensate from gas boilers as well as other acid producing equipment such as air conditioning units.

As the boiler starts, the condensate runs into the neutralising tray. At a fixed level a float switch is set to activate the Sanicondens pump and the neutralised condensate is pumped out through to the nearest drain.

Specifically designed to be environmentally friendly the Sanicondens Best is a small but powerful unit. Benefiting from a quiet and light design it can be floor or wall mounted. It has a pumping height of up to 4.5m and a maximum flow rate of 342litres/hour vertically at a mean temperature of 35 degrees C.

The Sanicondens is also capable of handling temperatures of up to 80 degrees C for limited periods. For added safety to respond to a blockage or mal function all units can be fitted with an alarm.

An environmentally friendly solution for all!
