The Grand Refurbishment with Saniplus Posted on Sep 15, 2011

A room for every day of the year, The Grand Hotel Scarborough stands majestic since the days of Queen Victoria. Built in the shape of a “V” as a tribute to her reign it has recently undergone a £7million refurbishment.

To combat the problems of traditional drainage and listed building regulations the installers recommended Saniflo products.

For over 30 years Saniflo has provided a solution for such renovation projects.

It was recommended that seventy Saniplus units be installed to upgrade existing bathrooms and a cellar conversion.

Saniplus from Saniflo is a macerator pump that enables you to install bathroom facilities almost anywhere, with ease.

A powerful motor enables Saniplus to pump waste and water from a WC, a wash basin and a either a shower or bath through 22mm small-bore pipe work, vertically up to 5 metres or horizontally up to 100 metres or a lesser combination of both.

Waste from the WC has priority and is dealt with immediately the toilet is flushed.

The waste water is drained by gravity from the shower/bath and wash basin to the Saniplus through inlets on either side of the unit.

A top of the range product it has been re-cased with sound reduction and an integrated carbon filter.
